fake:
This can have many meanings, one of them is faking a user on IRC. (If you
don't know IRC you should go out and learn about it, thats one of the main
reasons for me to sit in front of the computer all day). You can easily go
a head and create an account for somebody else, create a website/finger
entry for him/her and then start ircing with that account. Most of the
fakes are male persons who pretend to be female, because there are so few
females in the computer scene you can be sure to get very much attention
then. Actually it's very funny doing that since you can even get post-cards
or love-letters (but don't show them to you mum :). But you can be sure
that sometimes somebody will find out about your little game, and a lot of
people will get mad at you if they realize that. I can really understand
them, i guess i would be angry, too - at first - then i would take a good
laugh, since otherwise you're making a complete idiot out of yourself,
since it was your fault to actually belive that the person you were
chatting with was female :) - anyways don't be surprised if people get mad
at you when you try this, and don't do it too often.
